10 Ways to Use Frankincense Essential Oil Daily

Here are ten ways to use Frankincense Essential Oil daily regardless of your 2018 wellness goals. When it comes to natural products, figuring out what to use and when can be overwhelming. Where do I start?

About 3 years ago, I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. My Mitochondrial Disease was dictating my everyday life. I decided that enough was enough. After doing extensive research with my mother, we found the best essential oil company with certified pure essential oils. I was super skeptical at first, but I gave them a try, and the rest is history!

It’s essential that you know not all essential oils are created equally. Most brand-name oils cannot be taken internally. What is Frankincense?

Frankincense essential oil comes from the Boswellia sacra tree and trees of a similar species. According to this article, these trees can grow up to 8 meters and are commonly found growing on rocky slopes and southern coastal mountains. The Boswellia sacra is native to Ethiopia, northern Somalia, south-western Oman, and southern Yemen.

10 ways to use Frankincense Essential Oil Daily

  1. Cellular and Immune Support: Apply 2 drops to your big toes each morning. Add Balance and On Guard Protective Blend for extra support.
  2. Stress-less: Take 2 drops under your tongue each afternoon for an energy boost, immune system boost, and to decrease stressful feelings.
  3. Diffuse with Wild Orange and Cassia for a cozy winter blend to boost your immune system and promote relaxation. You’ll feel like you’re curled up in front a fire in a cabin. It’s delightful!
  4. Facial cream with a youthful glow (ditch those toxic store brands): Add 2 drops of Frankincense with Immortelle to Fractionated Coconut Oil. Apply to your face in the morning and evening.
  5. For unwanted skin growths: Mix 2 drops Frankincense with 1 drop of Oregano and 6 drops carrier oil. Apply to area 3 times a day until gone. It’s important to note that you should see a doctor for any concerning skin issues. 
  6. Goodbye Skin Imperfections: Apply 2 drops of Frankincense and 2 drops of carrier oil to skin 2-3 times daily. This combo works to smooth and beautify skin.
  7. Bath Time: Mix 2 drops Frankincense with 2 drops Lavender in 1 cup of bath salts. Add to warm water. Put on some music, and calm the mind and body.
  8. Occasional Discomfort-Be-Gone: Apply 3 drops each of Frankincense, Marjoram, Lemongrass, Siberian Fir (muscle concerns) or Clary Sage (for mensural concerns), in a carrier oil. Apply to areas of concern as needed. Add a layer of Deep Blue Rub to seal in the oils.
  9. Dry skin? Use dōTERRA’s Unscented Lotion and add 2 drops of Frankincense to rehydrate your skin. Also try this combo on your fingernails and cuticles for healthy, strong nails.
  10. Winter blues got you down? Try my Sunshine Roller-bottle recipe! Add 5 drops each of Frankincense, Wild Orange (free this month see #3 for details), peppermint, and carrier oil. Combine a glass roller bottle. Roll on big toe and pulse points 2 times a day or whenever you need a little extra sunshine in your life.
